Beautiful Pendant Lights
Pendant lighting is one of the most versatile lighting types around. These are hanging lights. Usually, pendant lighting is hung by either a rod or a chain. Sometimes, you can even use several of them at once to create an interesting effect.
There are certain things to think about before hanging pendant lighting. First of all, pendant lighting is best over seating areas or work areas, so you need to keep that in mind. Also, though, you could use pendant lighting to accent sculptures or artwork.
Pendant lights can be used in kitchen as well. They can be very useful to perform various tasks there and also can make it look more pleasing. You can hang these lights over the island or other work areas where you want the area to be well lit.
These lights can also be used for dividing two large areas. Like if you don’t have a wall between your living room and the dining room, but want to make them look separate, you can use pendant lights.
It is very important to have proper lighting at the work area so as to avoid straining of eyes. Specially, while doing some paper work , make sure to have sufficient lighting at proper position. You can hang these pendant lights from the ceiling at such areas to get appropriate lighting effect. These are more comfortable for working than normal table lamps.
You can make use of pendant lights in your bedroom as well. It gives a very soft and a subtle look as is required for a bedroom. You can even place these lights in a way that they highlight the bed or a chair kept near by. You can also use several pendant lights at a place to give a different feel to the place.
You can also use dimmer switches with the pendant lighting. This will allow you to adjust the brightness level as per your own convenience. This also helps in saving energy.
